Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
Aged between 2 and 23 months
Documented fever of ≥ 38.0°c (tympanic, axillary, or rectal)
EVENDOL score ≥ 4 (see below for more information about the EVENDOL score)
EVENDOL score completed ≤ 60 minutes of arrival to ED
All four inclusion criteria must be met for a child to be eligible
Paracetamol less than 4 hours or ibuprofen less than 6 hours before time of screening
Already received maximum 24 hour dose of paracetamol or ibuprofen
Known paracetamol or ibuprofen sensitivity
Requiring immeidate treatment for possible sepsis
Clinically unstable as determined by treating clinician
Active gastrointestinal bleeding or gastric ulcers
Chronic renal failure, liver failure, or significant cardiac disease
Known coagulopathy (eg. Haemophilia, ITP etc)
Gross global developmental delay
Malignancy
Parent/guardian not present
Previously enrolled in PIKI study
None of the above exclusion criteria must be present in order for a child to eligible

Study medicine 1 & 2 administration
After 90 minutes - first assessment
Study medicine 3 & 4 administration - if needed
After 4 hours - final assessment
